PHOTOGRAPHY OF THREE: CONCEPTUAL ART

Other examples of great and unique photography: OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT: This project consists of three photographs that are inspired by the work of Cindy Sherman. Each photograph needs to include yourself or a friend as a model that tackles a challenging theme that you personally can relate with, and can be in edited in black&white or color. The theme should be of a higher level...not surface level. To get ideas for this, think about things that piss you off, make you happy, things that you are struggling with, current events, how you feel about your friends, your parents, but most importantly how you view yourself...remember, the most intricate and important relationship you will ever have is the one with yourself. This project will be completed using Photoshop. If you want to make things in black and white but add color for emphasis, this is also allowed. PowerPoint Presentation Describing Project:
This project should take 2 1/2 weeks should contain the following (failure to follow these directions will result in a lower grade): 1. Research an additional photographer of inspiration. You must do some research on Cindy Sherman and include with final presentation of work on your wiki. A good photographer might be Alfred Stieglitz...Edward Steichen...just some ideas. 2. Drawings/Photographs in your sketchbook that show thought process such as new ideas, bad ideas, attempts, experimentation of location, and the final three photos. Include with these ideas writings about what you did, for example why you were inspired, what you liked about the particular artists, how you came up with your theme, and what steps you decided to take along the way.3. The use of yourself or a friend as the model.4. Place the final three photos on your wiki, with a DESCRIPTION paragraph and a REFLECTION paragraph on the creation and meaning of the art piece, how you came up with your theme, and what challenges/successes you discovered along the way.5. Lastly, place the photos you took that you do not want to include and a description as to why you did not choose them. Minimum of three photos.
